How is this different from other retirement communities in Montrose?
The land
Twenty acres with orchards, vegetable gardens, a fishpond, a gazebo and concrete walking paths. Deer, ducks and geese visit daily. Residents keep their own garden plots and the kitchen cooks with what comes out of them. Read more about the grounds and gardens.
The food
An on-site chef cooks three meals a day from scratch, with menus that rotate weekly and more than one choice at every meal. See how dining works.
The scale
Twenty-six apartments means staff know every resident by name. Several staff members have been here more than a decade.
The independence
Suites come unfurnished so residents bring their own furniture, hang their own pictures and paint if they want to. This is independent living — no medical staff, no schedule imposed on anyone, and private caregivers welcome when someone wants more support.
A room for your family
There is a furnished guest apartment on site for residents' families to stay in while visiting. We only ask for a donation toward the activities fund. More about daily life here.
